12 Sep - With some sad news on the home front things will be a bit slower for the next couple of weeks but I'll try and keep up a commentary on what we are up to.  Today we had a low key day around Venice.  We walked along Venice beach early in the morning and then headed to Eggslut for a great breakfast.  After that we found the canals of Venice - looking forwad to comparing them with the originals! Rest of the day we stayed pretty quiet

13 Sep - We moved over to the California Yacht club this morning - a trip of several hundred... yards.  After settling in amongst the superyachts we went for a stroll around Burton Chase Park and then headed back to the boat.  The club house unfortunately burent down a couple of years ago but the club still has a pool and basic facilities which we tok full advantage of.
