09 June - Finished off cleaning the anchor chain and putting away.  Packed up and headed off for the 3pm ferry to Vancouver.  Arrived at hotel in Vancouver and settled in

10 June - Witnessed getting the liferaft inflated and talked with the liferaft company about what we were aiming to have done.  Dropped into Langley Steveston Marine, not very well stocked.  Headed off to Kamloops arriving around 4.  Walked around downtown and had chinese for diner

11 June - 9 hours drive to Edmonton.  Really warm on the way over.  Great views of Mount Robson.  Went to say hello to Oakley and plan the next day

12 June - Oakley's first convocation.  Oakley showed us round the University and then we went over to Telus world of science to see his new workplace - really cool place to work

13 June - Went with Oakley to Elk Island National Park then went to Costco for a recce :(  Rainy with a great thunderstorm late afternoon

14 June - Down to Nigel and Theresa in Calgary through thunderstorms

15 June - Relaxed day with the Radwells.

16 June - Another wonderful relaxed day with the Radwells, walk in West Bragg Creek Provincial Park

17 June - Lazy morning then back up to Edmonton

18 June - Oakley's second convocation

19 June - the big Costco shop! - raided costco, bulk barn and walmart for long term stores.  Succesful but expensive day. 

Spent the afternoon and evening with Oakley and Theo playing Bugopoly

20 June - The long drive to Vancouver.  up at 4am to drive to Vancouver aiming to arrive in time to pick up the liferaft.  On the journey though we called the liferaft people were told we could pick it up on saturday!.  Called Canada drives though and to make sure our early start wasn't wasted we organised to get them to inspect the car.  Got to them at 6:30pm and agreed a price to sell the car! 

21 June - Went to pick up the liferaft but were then told they'd fitted an old CO2 bottle.  Agreed that they would get it to us when we have to sail over to Vancouver end of next week.  Caught the ferry to Nanaimo and picked up the remaining chart cards from the Harbou Chandler tnen drove home, finally getting into RVYC around 5pm.
